What a wild live! The Plymouth Trash Lady Nicole Young crashed the HP Kitchen wanting to learn a healtheir take on Chicken Nuggets and Fries for her two chilfren with Autism. Mission accomplished and the adults loved them too!

Gluten-Free Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb raw boneless, skinless chicken breast and thigh meat
  • 1 teaspoon Hippy Pilgrim Thanksgiving Garlic Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 teaspoons Hippy Pilgrim Dipping Oil Starter Base (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free flour (rice flour, almond flour, or oat flour)
  • Cooking spray (for air frying) or oil for pan frying if you don’t have an air fryer

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Cut the chicken into small chunks for easier processing.
  2. Season the Chicken:
    • Add the chicken chunks into the food processor. Add Hippy Pilgrim Thanksgiving Garlic Salt, paprika (optional), and Hippy Pilgrim Dipping Oil Starter Base (optional). Pulse until the chicken is finely pureed and the seasonings are well mixed.
  3. Form the Nugget Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the pureed chicken with gluten-free breadcrumbs and egg. Mix well to create a sticky mixture that holds together. Tip: You can make this in advance and form the nuggets later.
  4. Shape the Nuggets:
    • Shape the mixture into small nuggets, about 1-2 inches in diameter. Use your hands or a spoon for even shapes.
  5. Coat the Nuggets:
    • Lightly roll each nugget in the gluten-free flour for a thin coating.
  6. Air Fry the Nuggets:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F
    • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
    • Arrange the nuggets in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap.
    • Coat the tops of the nuggets with cooking spray.
    • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
    • If you don’t have an air fryer, coat a nonstick skillet with oil and brown on both sides until cooked through. This should only take a few minutes.
  7. Serve:
    • Let the nuggets rest for a minute or two before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!

Air Fryer Kid Friendly French Fries (Gluten Free)

Ingredients

  • 2 large russet or sweet potatoes (or Yukon gold for creamier fries)
  • 2–3 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 ½ tsp Hippy Pilgrim Extreme Garlic Salt (plus more to taste)
  • Optional: Hippy Pilgrim Salt Free Seasonings any variety

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes: Scrub and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cut into even matchsticks about ¼ inch thick.
  2. Soak for crispiness: Place cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 20–30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch and makes them crispier.
  3. Dry completely: Drain and pat the fries thoroughly with a clean towel — moisture will cause soggy fries.
  4. Season: In a large bowl, toss the fries with avocado oil until evenly coated. Sprinkle with Hippy Pilgrim Original Garlic Salt and toss again.
  5. Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place fries in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed). Cook 14–16 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crisp.
  6. Finish & serve: Sprinkle with a pinch more garlic salt if desired, garnish with fresh parsley or chives, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Pro Tips

  • Try using Hippy Pilgrim Chipotle Lime or Jalapeño Garlic Salt for a spicy twist.
  • Call the sweet potato fries “Halloween French Fries” and see if they eat them branded a different way!
