Cooking Live Recipes 8/6/25 (Lobster Night!)

Thank you so much to Seth and Nate for getting me the freshest lobster for this Cooking Live. Here are the amazing lobster recipes we created with them!

Lemon Garlic Butter Lobster Linguine

Featuring: Hippy Pilgrim Lemon Garlic Salt or Lemon Dill Garlic Salt

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb linguine
  • 2 sticks butter
  • Zest and juice of 2 lemons
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped chives or parsley
  • 2–3 tbsp Hippy Pilgrim Lemon Garlic Salt or Lemon Dill Garlic Salt
  • Meat from 6 steamed lobsters
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • (Optional) Fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta in salted water (use Hippy Pilgrim Lemon Garlic Salt) until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.
  2. Melt butter in a large sauté pan. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic,  red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant (2–3 minutes) then add chives.
  3. Stir in Hippy Pilgrim Lemon Garlic Salt. Taste and adjust as needed.
  4. Add lobster meat to the butter sauce just to warm through.
  5. Toss cooked linguine with the sauce and lobster. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.
  6. Finish with chives/parsley/microgreens, olive oil, and optional Parmesan. Serve immediately.

Smokin Hot Honey Lobster Mac & Cheese

This recipe can be doubled with ease.
Featuring: Hippy Pilgrim Smokin Hot Honey Rub & Original Garlic Salt

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup lobster meat
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups warmed whole milk
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Hippy Pilgrim Smoked Hot Honey Rub (in sauce)
  • 1 tsp Hippy Pilgrim Original Garlic Salt or Chipotle Lime Garlic Salt
  • 2 cups shredded smoked cheese (like gouda, cheddar, or a blend)

Topping:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp Hippy Pilgrim Smoked Hot Honey Rub

Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta al dente and set aside. Be sure to season your pasta water with our garlic salt first!
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in warm milk. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Add mustard, Smokin Hot Honey Rub, Garlic Salt, and shredded cheese. Stir until smooth.
  5. Fold in lobster meat and cooked pasta.
  6. Pour into a buttered baking dish.
  7. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over the top.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
